OMICRON Professional Development Program – Effective Leadership Skills, March 21, 2013

IT leaders from companies including Genuine Parts Company, Randstad General Cable, and Federal Home Loan Bank attended OMICRON’s Professional Development Program on Effective Leadership Skills.  Rae Ann Bruno was the instructor and brought the material to life by leveraging her experiences and insights gained as an IT practitioner at Cutler Hammer and Siemens; as well as, her consulting and training roles at companies like Genuine Parts and Emory Healthcare.  The participants all had leadership roles in IT disciplines like project management, business analysis, operations, and support.  Their objectives varied from wanting to be better heard in the organizations to influencing up the management ranks and across the business.

The focus of the one-day session included: leadership vs. management, leadership styles, delegation, prioritization, quantifying decisions, motivating employees, and growing your span of influence.
